The library cooperatives of Michigan often work together to negotiate purchasing discounts for libraries in Michigan.
When libraries are looking to purchase something new, it can be useful to know where you might fine a discount. There are a couple of places to look to find discounts for Michigan Libraries.
First, look at the The Library Network website for co-op discounts under Statewide Discounts.
Also, if you are an MCLS member, you can go to the MCLS website and look under eResources & Products.
If you do not see a vendor discount available in either place, please contact your library cooperative director to see if there are negotiations in the works for what you want to purchase. The Cooperatives are always working together to negotiate discounts from various library vendors as a group. This process often results in better discounts for all.
